IF I HAD THE LICENSE TO KILL....

I hope that whatever i write here won’t be used against me in case i land up in prison. :)

Terrorists these days surely think that they have the universal license to kill. They seem to be using or rather misusing their license which they think was given to them by God to reform the society. They kill people and defend themselves by saying that they are fighting for a cause. When the whole world is trying to find solutions to counter terrorism, i think i will use my "license to kill" to curb terrorism. I, as a patriotic citizen will take the responsibility on my shoulders and will help the government in exterminating this menace which is eating our country like a termite. I have the license. I can kill anyone and will not be answerable to any authority. Sounds amazing right?? But there is a teeny weeny problem, well i don’t like violence, the blood freaks me out and as a true follower of Gandhi, i also like non-violence. And so i will use my license like the modern day dons do. I will use it to threaten the terrorists, i will tell them to leave or else i will kill them and i won’t have to wait for any higher authority’s order to do so. Here i am not considering the possibility of the being killed by the terrorist because i am an optimistic person. As i will successfully capture terrorists i will be a popular agent and all the countries will want my services. Then maybe i will expand my business. I will make all those plans later.

As Spiderman once said that “with great powers comes great responsibility”, i will use my power sensibly. But i think sometimes i would like to use my powers to make social contacts with likes of Shahrukh Khan, Tom Criuse etc. I don’t think they will mind the threatening for a harmless cup of coffee or an autograph. Atleast i will become a famous socialite just in case that terrorist killing plan fails.

I don’t want to share my powers with anyone but sadly i am not the only one possessing this ultimate power. All of you have it with you. There is no age limit or expiry date for this license, nobody needs to explicitly give it to you and likewise you don’t have to ask anyone for it. You are born with it. Now you must be thinking that i am out of my mind. If all of us have the license to kill then there will be bloodbath everywhere. People will threaten and kill each other for most minuscule things after all, killing is legal. But i don’t mean that. By the license to kill i mean that all of us have the license to kill poverty, illiteracy, racism and all those factors that are hampering the growth of our nation. Unlike the normal licenses issued to us by various authorities, the license to kill doesn’t have any rules attached. It is fully upto you how and when you want to use it. Sometimes we run away from our responsibilities thinking that if i don’t do it someone else will do it. But sadly these days everyone is thinking the same and thus no one is taking a step forward to make an effort. The license is a perfect way to pay off for the lost efforts. If you make an effort towards eradicating illiteracy people will not question you and maybe after they realise the power of license they will join you in your efforts. You might feel that in a population of billions your effort won’t prove to be fruitful but when millions of us realise the power associated with the license to kill, the combined effort will kill the miscreants hampering the growth of our nation. Thus this is the easiest way for satisfaction and fame. India will shine and you will be a star. :)
